Communications & Fundraising Assistant (Contract)
Contract Position: Entry Level
Short Term: 3 months (with the possibility of extension until the end of 2025)
Time Commitment: 10 to 15 hours a week

What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented communicator to join our team on a contract basis! This role is perfect for someone who loves working across different projects and getting hands-on experience in communications and fundraising.
​
You'll help craft engaging content for websites, social media, newsletters, and email campaigns—bringing stories to life in fresh and compelling ways. Plus, you’ll support our team by creating donor materials and researching key topics to showcase the real impact of our clients' work.

If you’re into storytelling, digital content, and supporting those working to improve lifes of vulnerable communities, this might be your perfect fit! Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

Crafting and managing social media content and campaigns

Keeping our website fresh with updates, blog posts, and forms

Helping design and write email newsletters and donor materials

Assisting with donor databases and CRM platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, DonorPerfect, Salesforce, Bonterra, etc.)

Researching relevant topics to highlight the impact of our client’s work

Drafting press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials

Updating media contact lists and assisting with outreach

Supporting events, marketing efforts, and other projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone who’s bilingual, creative, and passionate about social justice. Here’s what would make you a great fit:

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

2+ years of experience in digital communications, social media, or related work
-
1+ year of experience working with a nonprofit or social impact project
-
Strong writing and editing skills in both languages
-
Familiarity with feminist and social justice values
-
Experience using Microsoft Office, Canva, and major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, Meta Business Suite, etc.)

Bonus points if you:

Know French

Have a degree in Communications, Marketing, or Policy

Have experience with AI tools for content creation
