Digital & Web Specialist

Contract Position

 

Location: The location of this position is remote and flexible, preferably in the United States or Latin America. 

Reports to: Gender-Responsive Communications Director 

 

Time Commitment: 8 – 15 hours a week 

Overview

We are seeking a Digital & Web Specialist who shares our commitment to gender equity and social justice. The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of feminist values and demonstrated experience in advising on website design, analytics, and social media strategy among other digital communications. 

Responsibilities

This position will provide support for digital growth and platform strategy across all digital channels, including social, email, web, and paid media. The Digital Strategy Consultant will work with other external consultants and support our creative team to increase visibility and engagement. With strategic vision, curious mind, creative aptitude, and data-driven outlook, the consultant will assist the development and execution of digital campaigns and website design / maintenance. 

  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement digital strategies that align with our clients' goals and objectives related to gender equity and social justice. 

  • Evaluate current digital strategy and advise on the new ways to engage with clients, supporters, and partners, and attract new ones. 

  • Coordinate content platforms such as website landing pages and blogs. 

  • Support front-end and back-end web development.

  • Implement content development strategy to website and blogs. 

  • Provide expert advice on website design, conduct research and analysis to inform website design and content strategy. 

  • Develop and implement SEO and SEM strategies to improve website visibility and search engine rankings. 

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging web technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for website enhancements and new features. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 

  • 3+ years of experience in digital strategy, website design, and development. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to gender equity and social justice issues. 

  • Knowledge of feminist values and how they relate to communications and content strategy. 

  • Expertise in SEO and SEM strategies, and ability to optimize website content for search engines. 

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex digital strategies to a diverse audience.
